The Education team invites families to join museum educators every month to be inspired by the museum’s exhibitions and screenings to create, learn, and have fun!

Our January Drop-In Workshops will focus on the artistry of special effects makeup inspired by classic films from 1988 in our Family Matinees series—WillowBig Top Pee-weeThe Land Before Time, and Beetlejuice.

On Saturday, January 7 we will be joined by prosthetic makeup artist Tami Lane who won the Academy Award for Makeup for the 2005 film The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. Lane received an additional Academy Award nomination for the 2012 film The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey.

Join us anytime from 12:30pm to 2:30pm in the Shirley Temple Education Studio on the museum’s Lower Level.

Workshop Dates:
