Welcome to SMC Film Club!

We'll be having our meetings on a bi-weekly basis on Thursdays at 11:15 AM PST. You will need to register in advance of the meeting time in order to receive the zoom link plus password to access the meeting.

FAQs

Do you post recordings of club meetings (or what if I miss a meeting?)

No. Unfortunately due to being broke and not having sufficient funds for storage on this site, we cannot, unfortunately, post the full meeting recordings onto this site. We will record the meetings however and have transcripts available upon request if interested. Otherwise, feel free to take a look at the above “Spring 2022 Meeting Agenda + Notes” which will contain the most recent meeting notes at the beginning.

I have a short film or project I want to propose towards Film Club members and need volunteers? Can you guys help me with my short film or project?

While we do serve as a resource for student filmmakers and creators to find crews, casts, templates, and other necessary resources, we cannot dedicate the club to only ONE student’s short film. If members or student leaders decide on their own time to work on each other's projects, that is their business and is between them.

We will do our best to host a variety of networking events and present project opportunities; however, this is all voluntary.

You can submit your project into our club database or find other projects there as well. We will do our best to provide club projects and opportunities in the future and make space at the end of meetings to casually talk about ideas or projects.

If personnel or crew is needed, we recommend you fill out this submission form to post publicly onto the Film Club Project Database. This will be available to publicly view by all Film Club members to direct email or contact you if interested.
