About this event

Rancho Notorious, one of the most unusual American Westerns of the 1950s, saw two of German cinema’s greatest exports Marlene Dietrich and Fritz Lang, join forces at last. Dietrich commands the film as the owner of a ranch that serves as a haven for outlaws, where she demands a cut of their loot and a complete adherence to her ironclad rules. It’s a tale of murder and revenge in a stylized West with a healthy dose of film noir from one of its masters.

Introduced by Felicity Flesher and Clarence Pruitt, hosts of Film Frontier podcast

Directed by Fritz Lang | Starring Marlene Dietrich, Arthur Kennedy, and Mel Ferrer
